Just saw the pic of your car on your profile. Was it up at Kerridges last Thursday?

I watched the whole thing, and there was no mention of noble!

However, what a car that SLR is, it went around the track in 1 min 20 secs. The fastest road car ever, except the radical!

I may well be wrong here, but I believe that Dunsfold has been re-configured, meaning that all cars should now be quicker around the TG circuit. Find it difficult to understand how the SLR - which is far from being a finely-honed track tool - can be a clear THREE SECONDS faster than a Zonda, and five quicker than a Noble.

Didn't see the programme myself, so did anyone else recognise a change in the circuit?

Haven't noticed any specific changes to the circuit, but certainly the cameras are set in different positions, which is possibly indicative of further changes. Just an observation.

only 1 second off a radical!

The driver has changed as well making the whole thing useless for comparisons now.

Also, the Zonda was tested on a very wet track.

Wasn't the Noble on a wet track as well?

I can't help thinking the stig should be doing the reviews on the lap cars. Surely he / she's the best qualified to say which one is really the pick of the bunch ?

.... that is of course assuming that the stig is the same person each week !?!

Maybe we could go along and ask ! tickets available on www.applausestore.com

The 2.5l Noble was on a wet track and did 1 min 33. Then the GTO-3 was tested on a dry track and did 1 min 24.5.

Now it has been suggested, I could see a track change being the key to the SLR's time.

Noble TG vid on racingflix.com

The change of driver shouldn't really make a difference, any professional driver should lap as quick and consistently as the next.

What is unfair is that the Murcielago got to go around the track for a second time, why just that and not the Zonda also.

Don't know whether anyone's noticed, but the 'Stars' are getting faster around the track too. So maybe it has changed.

Recently, the stars have been getting faster, and all lap times for the cars have too. For instance, the Murcialago went around on the 1st ever show in 1 min 29 secs, and then they put it around again and it did 1min 23.7. I know that people say it was damp but it was only 1 or 2 corners that were wet and it does have 4WD! How can you find 5-odd seconds around the same track? Well,it is almost impossible with professional drivers at the wheel.

Also, Paul Mckenna went around in 1 min 48 secs, the same as JK and Jodie Kidd, but he looked slow and even went off of the track on the penultimate corner. Some track mods must have been made, but so far I am yet too spot them!
