Updating Nav/ Firmware

Hi Guys,

Has anyone had any issues updating Nav / Firmware.

I've downloaded the firmware (MY21 Sportage) using 'Navigation Updater' on a Mac.

The program won't copy the files to the USB key, so I copied the folder Sportage_MY21_EU to the top level (I did find a guide somewhere that explained this was normal on a Mac). The USB key is formatted exFAT.

Problem is, the car won't detect the files, the upgrade button is greyed out.

I've re-downloaded a couple of times, and tried two different USB keys (one 32GB and one 64GB).

This is an old thread so you might have got it sorted.

You don’t download anything to USB. Download the Navigator Update to your hard drive.

Insert a USB.

Run the app from your hard drive. It will ask you to select which USB the final files need to go to. Then let it do its thing. Then take the USB to the car and update.

Note, the software isn’t clever enough to use the ‘purgeable’ disk space on a Mac so make sure you have enough real disk space.
