So my mates misses has been given a courtesy car from a garage whilst her car is being crash repaired. He has been telling me it is so fast that it would be quicker than most cars on the road. He also told me it was a Kia. He sent me a video of himself revving the car and it sounded pretty basic to be honest. I've took a screenshot of the video as i was wondering if anyone could tell me what model it is and if it really is as quick as he makes out? He won't tell me what model it is other than it's apperently a 2020 model worth 30k. Hopefully someone on here knows their Kia interiors and can enlighten me.

Have a look at their dashboards - https://www.kia.com/uk/#

I can't see one that matches. None of the current models seem to have that double line of buttons between the heater controls.

3.3 Stinger? Not a slouch but not "fast". Although the dash doesn't look right?

Your mate’s trying to wind you up. Looks like he succeeded.

Update: It's apperently a Kia Xceed. I knew it wouldn't be fast but wanted confirmation from other people as I know he will argue it is.

Don't be stupid. Yes it is fast.

Look at that needle move. If this isn't fast you've lost touch with reality.

Yeah I'd say a Stinger is fast but what about the Xceed?

It's all relative! An ex-colleague of mine (an old boy with no interest in cars) had a Corsa 1.2. He dropped it off at the garage and was given a Megane as a courtesy car. It was a 1.9 turbo-diesel and he complained that the car was dangerous as it had too much power!

I totally agree that it's a fast car, though the speed the needle moves round the dial in this case is largely exaggerated by the massively inconsistent increments.

It has to be a wind up. Got to be. Or your mate is an utter imbecile.

Here are the amazing Kia Xceed stats, lets assume its the PHEV as that seems to be £30k list price. A mighty 139bhp and 0-60 in a mind boggling 10.5 seconds, yes I am sure with those stats it can beat everything on the road...except maybe a Ford Focus 1.5 Diesel which shatters the 10 second barrier 0-60 weighing in at 9.8 seconds laugh

Oooo....

Apparently they do a 1.5t with nearly 160bhp. Cracks 60 in 8.7, that’ll destroy that focus time!

Out of curiosity, what does your mate actually drive? As mentioned, it all relative.

Put wrong 0-60 time, sorted.

Well he doesn't actually drive but his misses has a 2005 bmw 118d which he also tried to tell me was fast because it was an M sport model.
