I don’t do new cars but I quite like this one it’s all petrol no hybrid it has real exhausts (fake exhausts is like the equivalent of stuffing your pants with socks so your package looks bigger you’re only fooling yourself there’s few things I hate more in modern cars) ..... I don’t know but it has some sort of old school feel about it...like how cars used to be made if you know what I mean.....2.0 Turbo 280hp....gets harder and harder to find a decent Petrol 2.0 Turbo with over 200hp these days

While I rejoice at any news of a new ICE car these days and I am a big fan of what Hyundai do (we even have one on the drive). The words Sporty, Small and SUV just don't belong together. Put any 2 of those words together and I see the point, all 3. NO!

It's an interesting one. I think Hyundai have to make a play at the crossover market like other competitors are and adds another model to the N brand along with the I30N and I20N but i think hyundai has to build from this on to a rwd coupe/saloon or even an AWD performance model to really start challenging the German marques

Interesting idea, but higher centre of gravity than the i30N / Fastback and smaller boot too. Not really sure what it's for...

I bought a Kona GDI 1.6 4wd to replace my Yeti daily driver . Harder than I thought to find a small SUV that actually had 4wd, which I need for forest and farm tracks . Had never even heard of the Kona but , 5 weeks in , I am amazed at the amount of kit it has, I like the 7speed DSG (never had one before ) , it is v.comfy and quiet except for road noise on bad surfaces, down to silly 235/18 tyres . Quick too - 60 in 7 .something but , after a diesel , bloody hell it likes a drink ...
