Hyundai Tucson (Petrol) - Ownership Experiences?
Discussion
Morning all,
Does anyone have any feedback on these? We're looking at one at a local Hyundai dealer this evening and think, for the price, it ticks a lot of boxes for what we need. It's the 133PS petrol, manual 2017 model, just two years and two months old.
Many thanks for all opinions.

Sorry, a bit late.
I sold my Jaguar XF S and bought a 2018 Tucson 1.6 petrol and love it. We moved back to the UK from France and both the Jag and the Kangoo were LHD so had to go. Initially I found the Tucson very sluggish on the French autoroutes but that was because I hadn't adjusted from the power of the Jaguar and also the fact that I'd had a towbar fitted as part of the deal from Hyundai MK and was lugging trailer loads of household stuff back and forth during the move. On the whole we are very pleased with it and had had no previous experience with the marque.

Hi TVS
Sorry to jump in here - my experience is a very reasonable 33mpg around town. It will easily do 400 miles on a tank on a spirited motorway drive too.
I've never felt uncomfortable, and this being my first "budget SUV" experience I'm finding it an easy car for pottering about, and very practical. Never any aches or pains after a long run either.

Thanks for that generationx
Looking to change my 1.4TSI Golf Plus - lovely little car but very very poor suspension, and with my bad back I think it's time for a new car.
33mpg doesn't sound too bad but the Golf does 500 miles to a tank, and I can do non-stop from my home in Somerset to the other side of Edinburgh with fuel left over.
Looking at the Touscon it's amazing how much you get for the money but can you confirm if it's LED headlights

I test drove one at the weekend.
Only good thing was the “oomph” when you put your foot down (i currently have a 57 plate i30), but didn’t like anything else.
The steering was really twitchy, the ride wasn’t good and the interior looked and felt cheap.
Drove a 3008 earlier in the day, much better in every way, placed an order for a 1.2 Allure Premium
