Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of searching for a replacement for my MK6 TDI 1.6, which has been a joy to drive for the past 4 years. Now, I'm looking to upgrade and have been exploring a few options. Here's what I've considered so far:

Budget: Around £16k
Options:

Golf GTD 7.5 / 69k miles / £15k
BMW 330e 2017 / 50k miles / £15k
BMW 320D 2019 / 52k miles / £17k
I would appreciate any advice on what to look out for with the Golf GTD 7.5. Also, I've never owned a BMW before, so I'd love to hear from actual owners about their experiences with these models.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Currently doing x10 15 mile journeys for work.(Mix of M1 + B roads)
Odd 10 miles or so on weekends.
So around 8K miles a year.

Hybrids weren't on my radar but the car just looked good and on paper seemed to have good mpg

I have enquired about a 2019 GTD from Lookers.
69k Mileage, i just want to make sure I check through the car properly before going ahead.

Do you need a diesel?

You have the 330e, are hybrids on your radar?

How many miles per year?
Short or long journeys or mix?
How much room do you need?

IMO the 7.5 GTD is a good upgrade from the 1.6.
Quick, 50mpg, comfortable and looks good.
Sweet spot for Golfs

Thanks all, I'll take a look at the examples.
All this time I had considered Diesels only, didn't even give Petrol a thought.
