Best PCP deals new and used
Discussion
As the leasing thread has somewhat hit the buffers with decent deals. I thought it would be interesting to start a thread on decent PCP deals. I’ll start off with this.

Land Rover Velar £1000 deposit 24 x £299 6000 mpa.

Not as good a deal as I managed to get but.

I imagine something like this would make a good value runabout

No tax, reasonable range and can be had for £70 a month with a grand down (or a shed in PX)
I am struggling to understand how they can offer that deal. From what I can see, the reason the PCP is so low is that the residual value is so high. But how can that car only lose £1,000 in depreciation when it is two years older and has an extra 12,000 miles? So it surely must be a mistake?https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202406080...

You're right of course
Out of curiosity I got a quote (hoped it would be all online, alas not) which was wildly different from what Autotrader was showing
The error would be the assumed final value of the car. The trade price after 2 years with an extra 12,000 miles was never only going to be £1,000 below the current retail price. I have a 50 model (same as above) and I get between 170-190miles in the current temps of 15-20 degrees. In the winter it's down to 130-150 miles. Depends on your usage of course as to whether it would be suitable.
You can get the 55 model which will do over 200 miles, but they're a bit more expensive.
Thank you, that would be perfectly fine. the furthest I ever go is Oulton Park which is 150 mile round trip and usually in mild weather so the range would be fine. You can get the 55 model which will do over 200 miles, but they're a bit more expensive.
Anything longer distance I tend to just jump in someone else's car!
What are the clauses of an earlier exit than 4 years? Seems that 4 years is long time and EV market will be changed alot.
Also, how to best estimate the insurance and tax calculation for this type of vehicle?
