BMW paint repair
Discussion
Hi guys. Recently bought a BMW 5 series touring and after getting it home noticed a few problems. They have rectified all but one. On the bonnet where they have "fixed" stone chips, there are splodges of "lacquer" that just look like blobs of glue (looks 5hit3) the sales man reckons that's how they fix stone chips. Sounds a load of BS to me. Has anyone had this issue? Tia.
I can't say I've ever seen a dealer do a bodyshop repair for stone chips on used cars. It would just add too much to the cost of prep.
Given a car is very likely to get a chip or two every 10k miles, it's never bothered me too much. You might get one driving a brand new car home from its collection. Just one of those things.
