I have my eye on a £35k E400d Mercedes estate, looks a great car but as the dealer has had it only a week, I'm wondering whether I should wait a couple of weeks to see if its price is reduced a little or I have a better chance to offer a little less.Hmm.

Is it priced competitively? If so then I’d go for it asap. Dealers rarely start dropping prices after a couple of weeks anyway.

+1

Check against other AT prices. if its well priced i'd be going to see the dealer.

The right cars in the right spec sell.

As above also E400d's aren't easy to find these days so if it's a good deal then buy it.

Even if its the right spec and colour combo for you, i'd still be using the fact its among the most expensive as a negotiating point.

There (quite rightly) a very sought after car, although personally I’d prefer the saloon. It may be worth registering your interest with some Mercedes dealers.
