Ok, so they are AI slop, buut..

The straighter lines of the Montego and Maestro are at odds with the growing curvy blobs we see. Plus they are not SUV...
The Rancho is the worst of the lot - misses key things like the roof step.
And yeah, dreadful colour to choose.

I'd like Skoda to make the Countryman. Lovely big glasshouse, and I like a softroad estate.

I loved the original Rancho, but that one just looks like a Jeep Compass with a different grille, it doesn't remind me of the original.

I think they all look pretty good, but maybe that's because they hark back to an era where I feel more comfortable with the design language! No interest in a small 2 seat convertible, but I would consider the others depending on price, interior space and how they drove.

The AI car designs that are floating about interest me, while I'm not a fan of AI generally at least it offers some challenge or disruption to the chod that some manufacturers are turning out these days.

The Maestro looks like one of those old Chinese versions of 70s/80s cars that they carried on making and face-lifting for 20 years +

Apart from the Tigra, Dacia pretty much do what ‘Austin’ do and that Meastro looks like what some old pre-Soviet Eastern European country has produced having bought the tooling from Rover or whomever and decided to update it a bit. Dire.

I think the designs get worse from top to bottom.

The Rancho I like, although it is more contemporary Land Rover than Rancho re-imagined. As someone already commented it needs the stepped roof and windows as a proper nod to the Rancho. That will probably end up making it look like the next Discovery!

The Tigra looks OK.

Montego looks more like the 1980s Passat re-imagined than a Montego.

Maestro I get, but no one is going to launch that in 2026

I'm not interested because by the reasoning of the OP's posts elsewhere, I'm over 70 so shouldn't be buying new cars and as I'm over 65 I should be dead anyway.

Nah, the Rancho looks like a Dacia Duster / Bigster, and whilst I like them, I wouldn't buy one. The Tigra looks like a 20yo Astra with the roof cut off. The other two, nah. I think the Montego Country (was it?) was akin to the Poor Man's Range Rover in period, but not my think. Although, I'd take it over anything JLR make now.

Countryman was just a trim, no suspension lift or AWD.

My dad had the diesel one, in green. It was OK. I preferred the petrol one because it went faster.

Looking back it was probably unusual to have both our cars be Montego estates.
