Mazda 6 Tourer, late 2018 vs 2022
Discussion
This is for the Sport Nav+ edition, so high spec. Petrol 2.0 manual. Soul crystal red.
Is £13.5k too much to spend on an 8 year old car that’s done about 57k miles? (Autotrader says “good price”).
The 2022 is only 4 years old, 45k miles but £16.5k (Autotrader says “great price”)
I’m a bit torn. I didn’t want to spend £16.5k. But can’t deny 4 years old feels much newer than 8. But then in terms of mileage it’s only 12k difference.
The dealer for the 2022 does not have good ratings (it’s one of those car supermarkets in Coventry).. so that puts me off a bit.
I'm hoping to go see them tomorrow. Currently leaning more towards the 2018. I think it has more warranty too (3 months vs 1 month).
Just wondering what people think. Am I nuts going for the 2018? It doesn't help they are so rare! And hoping to get one soon for all the holiday travel I'll be doing over summer.

Yes I read that.. It doesn't worry me that much. The red on my current Mazda 2011 wasn't much trouble, though not sure if its as thin as the new soul red crystal... There's a bodyshop in Sheffield that seems to get recommended a lot, I'd probably check them out if it came to it..
Problem is I'm a sucker for red! The alternative is to look out for a Kuro edition which has red interior instead, but a slightly bland exterior, and black wheels I think (I prefer chrome).
I quite like it in white too so that's another option.
