Wife's Corsa going back in a few weeks, 4 year old but only 15k miles.

Good condition except for 2 nearside kerbed alloys (17" diamond cut) which will be chargable no doubt. Also has a small crease in nearside rear door and some minor scuffing on the door and rear quarter panel, caused by an incident the mrs "remembers nothing about".

Been quotes about £500 for panel repairs, plus it will likely be £85+vat per wheel for refurb.

Anyone experienced their end of lease charging? What would you do? Get it fixed, or leave it and see what ALD charge?

Cheers

Leave it.

You won’t get charged that much for kerbed wheels, if they charge at all. Plus if your repairs aren’t perfect they’ll charge you anyway. Also factor in your time and ballache.

I’d not bother with the bodywork either - they don’t charge that much. Eg I handed back an E class estate after three years and two days before it got collected Mrs DS scraped all the front bumper getting into a multi storey, even cracked part and wore a hole in it. £65.

It’s not worth bothering.

Thanks, that’s reassuring. The wheels are pretty bad if I’m honest:

I'm returning a car to ALD in a few weeks time and the collection letter they sent me says for wheels:

"scuffs up to 50mm on the total circumference of the wheel rim and on ally wheels are acceptable.

There must be no damage to sidewalls or tread."

I have a couple of small 10 - 15mm scuffs on the wheel rims but as the wheels are gloss black they do stand out a bit, I think I'll see what they say. The rest of the car is in very good condition.

This is my wheel

One other wheel is about the same , the other 2 are good.

Caused by dropping down a massive pothole while parking in Edinburgh frown

Reckon yours will be fine, I’ve handed back worse with no charge.

I hope so, it's my first lease car after years of running old sheds, so I'm probably overthinking it.

They have got estimated charges for damage that is beyond BVRLA fair wear and tear standards. It’s on their website.
