Hey guys, been contemplating changing my G 31 530D Xdrive for a Alpina B5 GT but it seems near impossible to find one I’ve been checking every classified I can think of the last month and nothing‘s popped up. Any suggestions must be Green with a light interior and pan roof

Have you spoken to anyone at Alpina UK, which iirc is Sytner in the UK

Failing that get out the credit card and spec a new one.

Good luck. I think there were about 20 UK cars, some were green, some probably had a light interior and some might have had a pan roof. Sytner Nottingham could probably advise how many were supplied in your spec.. Lovely cars but you might be waiting a while.

UK allocation was small and all sold. There are no more new cars from Alpina. With the sale of Alpina to BMW Sytner Nottingham are no longer Alpina branded but do of course deal in existing cars.

A couple of GT's have been advertised and sold. Just need to keep an eye out.

Or settle for a non-gt one. Should be more of those.

That's what I was thinking.

You're picking from a pool of maybe 2 or 3 cars.

Japan might be an option, IIRC they had the lions share of RHD allocation.

They were around £200k new from memory.

This one that went through Bramley was lovely (although those wheels would have to be painted silver for me)

https://www.bramley.com/stock/2024-bmw-alpina-b5-g...

This one went through collecting cars last year for £105k + fees of around 7k

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/2024-bmw-alpin...

So they do come up for sale but probably only one a year, they were not as has been said a £200k car around £125-130k list.

Just checked and the Pistonheads article they've used Euros, which is a bit odd.

Base price of around €150000 with an extensive options list.

Wouldn't be surprised if some left the factory with price tags starting with a 2.

Depends on your definition of around.

I didnt realise the PH article quoted Euros but around €200k wouldn't have been far off at all.

But yes I now down to your superior pedandtry.
