Why PCP which is often more expensive.

£250 a month would easily get you a cheaper personal bank loan. eg/

10k over 4 years = £235 pcm approx
7.5k over 3 years = £225 pcm approx
5k over 2 years = approx £224 pcm

PCP is a much more expensive way to buy a car if you're not buying new/nearly new.

I seem to recall a lot of dealers don't like CC payments and have 1k max.

although you could take out a loan then consolidate it next week to a 0% CC.
