Is this worth swapping?

Or no... work colleague wants a smaller car but sticking to automatic and going back to petrol

His is an old 12 reg C220 cdi amg sport estate 206000 mot end of the year runs as it should etc.
For an 06 B170 petrol automatic 90000 mot November/ December seemingly no money involved just swapping.

2006 is too old to accurately value, it would depend on the condition of the car. And, 206000 miles really is quite a lot too. So I guess a big factor would be condition, what needs mechanically doing (an awful lot of wearable mechanical components will be at/near the end of their life) and what's been recently done or has minimal wear. I'm all for an old Merc but that era of C class isn't exactly the pinnacle of quality for Mercedes.

I know i said that to him too, it is a nice car but as you say there are thing needing fixed or will as time goes on.
I don't think he is swapping though but now regrets buying it as he knows he won't get the money back. He has been offered what he think are stupid prices.

Selling the c class will be a pain because a dealer won't want it and the types of people who turn up at your house could be a mixed bag.

So a swap seems a great idea... go for it.
