I am collecting a toy on Thursday/Friday but my journey to get it has already started. It’s in the UK but the other end of the country.

I am quite excited about it and let’s just say it has a decent engine and it’s manual, I know you guys like a collection thread beer

I am currently on the train to the airport to go to a conference in Berlin tonight. By sheer coincidence I can’t fly direct so am going via the city the car is in (flights booked weeks before I found the car) so will test drive it first today whilst I have time before my connecting flight. I can’t take it today as a plate change is going through.

I am then in Berlin until Wednesday then have to fly into the midlands for a meeting Thursday then will catch the long train (no easy flights to get there) up north to hopefully collect Thursday evening.

Fingers crossed it all goes to plan, wasn’t a great start as almost missed my first train, Trainline wanted £9 for the ticket but as the train departed before I could buy it I have been fleeced for £22 for the same journey as had to buy a ticket on board. Already £13 wasted biglaughbiglaugh

4 taxis, 3 trains and 2 Flights today and it’s only

In for the journey.

Unless it’s a dead giveaway how about the CC’s / cylinder # / body shape and we can have guesses at what it is?

It s a Porsche 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 manual, no point in guessing as a link was posted on here (no problem so might as well say now people would have seen it). I have been searching for one for a while with the right spec to include the GTS interior pack with crayon stitching.

Now on the plane for flight one of the day.

I have driven both manual and pdk of this car and find the manual so much more engaging, real grin factor on driving and the auto blip on these is excellent.

I decided against a GT4 as I won’t track it but haven’t had a manual for years, last one was a 911.

Just rubber stamping the deal really as my flight came this route and the seller is more than happy to oblige. It’s a private off market sale and the car has already been looked at by an OPC a few days ago.

Test drive done and deposit paid. Really pleased with the condition. Now back on train number 3 of the day to the airport and onto Berlin.
