Car Auction ( of the classic type )
Discussion
I have just experienced my first bidding at a car auction, albeit on the end of the telephone. I found that I was sweating like a damaged double glazing unit, my heart was pumping at nigh on maximum output, it really was quite an experience. I am not sure that I enjoyed it at all.
Typically I got carried away and went over budget by just under 5%, I was so freaked out that when the guy said 'I think you've got it' followed by 'best wishes' and a dead phone line, I had no idea if I was actually the winning bidder, I had to send an email to clarify that I had actually won it.
Anyway, another plastic box of dubious reliablity awaits collection from Somerset - Lotus Elan FHC incoming!
