I've recently bought a new car where the dealer advertised the car with the wrong trim details. Basically there are 4 trims - the Gold Star being the top, the A++, the B, then the Z, as examples.

I put down the deposit thinking I was buying the car with the A++ trim, however the dealer then told me it was actually the Z trim and the details on the system that pulled through were incorrect.

The spec (and price!) was great for what I thought was getting in with the A++ car. After some disappointment and further conversation with the dealer, it turns out it's actually the B trim. So not the basic with some additional features than the Z. We negotiated and I have gone ahead with this car and I'm waiting delivery.

I carried out my own checks (using Motor Check) and it has the Z trim registered against it. I checked the MOT/Tax on the GOV website which shows the make and model only, which is the correct info.

I've been looking at insurance quotes (using moneysupermarket) and I can't find the trim details that my car is supposed to be against the make and model.

Not quite sure where to go from here, any ideas?
