2021 Jaguar XE P250 R-Dynamic (Petrol) - good buy or avoid?
Discussion
A family friend is about to trade in a 2021 Jaguar XE P250 R-Dynamic, 35K miles, black. Kerbed wheels but otherwise seems a lovely car.
They'd be happy to sell the car to a private buyer for the trade in price, plus perhaps a few ££ to make it worth their while.
I dont know much about these, but the car could be bought at a good price. I think maybe £18.5K.
Its out of manufacturers warranty.
Anyone any experience of these, particularly the engine?
They're not a brand i'd previously thought of but the car does look lovely.

Ingenium engine, avoid. There's a reason they're a good price compared to equivalent models from other manufacturers.
The Diesels are definitely a red flag, but petrol models seem to be no worse than any other brand?https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Fair enough, OP of that thread did end up having camshaft issues on their petrol thoughhttps://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
