Hi folks, I've got the chance to pick up an older low milage tdci mondeo.. Trouble is it's only ever done no more than 3000 miles a year since new.. It comes with the usual year's mot and 3 month warranty, it drives really nice and is very solid still, but I'm I asking for trouble or not? I was thinking buy it and get my garage that's local to check it out thoroughly whilst I have time to return which is within 14 days so I belive.. Any advice would be really apreciated thanks
What year is it? I ran a 2005 facelifted 2.0 TDCI hatchback as a daily driver for 9 years. Purchased with approx. 5000 miles on the clock and sold with 113,0000. A great car overall. Handled well for what it was, fast enough, very practical. Injectors can go (same with any common rail diesel engine) and are expensive to replace and get re-coded. The wheels on mine corroded badly. Other than that it gave 9 years faithful service and never let me down.
