After my previous post- we are looking to get out of our fiesta st line - wet belt anxiety plus its manual and having a Rhodesian Ridgeback it doesn’t quite fit our needs

Had a look at Skoda kodiaq VRS. Nearly £600 a month!!

Do low rate PCP exist? I missed a 0% Touareg a few years ago with 2 years warranty, servicing and breakdown cover from VW

I would love an x5 but with the ludicrous percentage rates I think I might have to a, keep the fiesta and buy an old L322 for example for the dog or b, move into a pcp on say a 320d estate.
I hate cars frown

8.9 % is about the best at the moment through magnitude and others I think on used.

You’ll get 4.9% on a new X5 I think but it will be a lot more than £600 a month, probably double.

My mate has just got a new defender at 4.5% £500 pcm but a hefty deposit.
Maybe an estate car would be a better idea, although I’d love a big motor I just hate the idea of all the interest. I must be getting tight smile

Isn't this all tied in to the Discretionary Commission Ruling?

Martin Lewis and his mates might feel that they are wonderful citizens for letting people know that they possibly paid over the odds in finance that they were previously quite happy to pay (yes, I know it was wrong) but the ensuing storm for compo - the new PPI scandal - will mean that finance rates will go up to cover it.

Try your bank. I got half the rate using Lloyds Vs VW. Very easy process

Yes, albeit under consumer duty I doubt you will be able to argue that loan pricing is based on future fines for poor behaviour or why the spread vs the base rate is now higher.

More lending availability will decline as lenders protect themselves against future claims….some banks have already suspended further lending.

Pretty sure I’ve seen 0% offers out there, but as always it’s the TCO figure that matters.
