Hi guys. Just looking for some advice. Wife has a fiesta 1.0. Terrible car. IMO.
Looking at getting something bigger for her and for the dog in the boot.
Looking at a 320d touring but none seem to have heated screen. A must in her book as she works nights and doesn’t want to wait long for car to clear screen.

Can anyone recommend any that would suit?
If BMW don’t have this functionality, do they clear quickly in icey conditions?
I’ve also been looking at the Touareg (2020), I think it was an option but unable to find one.

Many thanks for your help and suggestions.

Any Ford? Focus estate sounds like it would fit the bill.

Some modern Toyotas, even the Yaris have remote start instead so could be an option.

You just start the car in the app and it warms up and defrosts the screens for you, ready for when you are leaving.

I used to have a heated screen on my V40 which was great, but remote start means you are getting into a fully warmed up car.

From memory Ford had the original patent for it (Quickclear), correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it has expired (25 years?), so if you're not looking for anything new you need to look at those manufacturers that Ford owned / linked to, i.e. Volvo, JLR etc

Happy to be corrected

Thanks all. Budget around 25k. A question I have got is , do the latest version of 320d touring have remote start via an app? That may be an option

You can get a low mileage Skoda Karoq with lots of extras, including a heated windscreen, seats and steering wheel, for significantly less than your 25k budget. Something like this:

Nice enough to drive, the 1.5L engine with a DSG transmission is smooth as well. Plenty of space in the back for a dog.
