Quite different cars. The Merc will be more expensive to service but possibly more mechanically reliable. MPG will be similar, the F82 will give you a few extra mpg.

This.

I sold this...

And bought this when my son arrived...

C63 is annual servicing but mine is on a service plan (inc. MOT and breakdown) with Mercedes so don't notice the £50pm. Biggest difference is the intervals, C63 is annually and the M4 is every two years.

Averaged 23mpg in the M4 over three years, averaging 22mpg in the C63 in the past two years.

Neither car has let me down. I bought the M4 brand new and the C63 seven years old, privately. Only issue was a faulty sensor on the C63 at 70k miles.

I initially wanted a C63S estate however two different AMG specialists advised against this due to the failure rate and cost of the e-diff. The non-S has a much more robust mechanical diff but otherwise mechanically the same under the skin apart from slightly larger front brakes 390 vs 360mm from memory. It's engine mapping that creates the power advantage and both remap to c.585bhp with an ECU flash.

I have the comfort seats and they're a nice place to sit for hours, never had any discomfort on long journeys.

Which car do you prefer overall?

Are driving dynamics or ride very different?

Best wishes

For my current needs, if I could have the C63 with the M4's infotainment, I'd be happy. If the M3 had still have been in production in 2019 when I bought the M4, I'd have bought the M3, and might still have it.

I don't drive the C63 hard so not fussed about on limit handling blah blah, but it's front end definitely better than my old S204 C63. I bought it for its practically and the noise it makes.

The C63 is a great car up to 8/10ths. The M4 is better at 8-10/10ths and the grip and balance is excellent and great fun on track.

I'm now toying with selling the C63 for an F90 M5 Competition.
