£30k - what luxury 4/5 seater cabrio/coupe for 4 adults?
Discussion
Looking for a genuine 4 seater luxury coupe or cabriolet that can seat 4 adults in reasonable comfort - for say, a two hour drive.
I appreciate I need to view/test personally, but was hoping for a push in the right direction.
Things like the Bentley Continental GT, Merc S class couple/cabrio, Maserai Grancabrio, BMW 8 series etc seems very very interesting, but not sure they will actually work practically for those in the back seats.
Are there are any owners here, who can attest the real world usability of the back seats of these cars and other similar ones?

How tall are you? This will answer your question about space.
I'd say that if you want a luxury GT then the Mercedes S500/CL500/63 are the real picks, the Bentley is a lovely car but with less space in the back & high running costs at 30k it's not where I'd be looking.

With the S Class/CL all four windows drop away & you can open the roof too, you'll also be under budget.

The 840i is a bit more cramped & feels a bit claustrophobic in the rear for me but you do get a newer car:

If you decide a Continental is for you then go for the V8 rather than a W12:

The GranTurimso is a great pick not as luxurious as the Mercedes & Bentley but it's still a special GT:

Does a Panamera fit the bill? Not sure if it's a bit too saloon rather than coupe for you, but I had a 4S a while ago and with the air suspension it was super comfortable all round and plenty of room in the back.
I've got a 840 grand coupe now and regularly have my parents in the back. There's loads of room (leg and head) and it's very comfortable although, as it's a bit low, it can be a bit difficult to get in/out for the elderly. We did try a 840 coupe before buying the grand coupe - it was a massive faff getting into the back and quite closed in. I wouldn't want to spend 2 hours there, thats for sure.

Thank you both for the helpful replies.
Separately, a thread like this used to have dozens of responses back in the day. Really, PH is not quite the place is used to be with the classified beijng a shadow of themselves - it used to be the place for private sales.
I'm 5 foot 9 inches tall, if that helps! Tallest one in the family - thus far.... ;-)
Does the S class merc coupe and cabrio really have enough space?
Conti GT does speak to me, but the cost are a concern I guess.
I guess MPG is goijng to be dire whatever you buy in this class of car!? What can you expect in London traffic?
Only way is to try!

At 5'9 you will have more than enough room in the rear of the S Coupe. On a 500 18-20 mpg around town 26-28mpg/63 16-18mpg 24-25mpg.Separately, a thread like this used to have dozens of responses back in the day. The Conti feels more special than the above going for the V8 gets running costs onto a less wallet shrivelling level.
As you said go & sit in some & see what works for you.
