Car purchase dillema £8-10k
Discussion
Hi all,
I am thinking of changing my car next year sometime, currently have a 2008 Focus.
I plan on having a child next year and want something a bit more modern and safe whilst also having room for all the necessary things that come with having a child.
Cars I have thought of;
9G Civic Tourer 1.8 Petrol - should be reliable, what spec? initially thinking SR but not many for sale and around 10k for a 10 year car.
Toyota Corolla 1.8 Hybrid (Would need to up budget a lot)
2013 onwards Octavia VRS (Fast, not too bad on fuel but reliability?!?)
Volvo V60 ? which petrol engine? I think Volvo's are not THE most reliable nowadays?
I would prefer petrol or petrol hybrid as I do around 9k miles PA
Prefer an estate for trips away occasionaly
Comfortable (Volvo seats are nice)
Not too slow, 0-60 8-9s mark is fine.
Cruise, AC, Parking sensors and/or camera
Relability - this of course leads me to Toyota, Lexus, Honda
I love the reader's threads of XC70's and the like but I know i'd have to spend a fair bit to keep it running but I do love Volvo's seats and I am not sure if anyone does a better seat than them?
Any recommendations are appreciate.
