New Family Car - Options/Thoughts
Discussion
Hi All
So its nearing the time to sell the trusty Merc B class B200 Sport and put the equity to use.
Should get around 6k for it and im willing to put in 10/11k.
Criteria:
No older than 2021
Petrol, Electric or Hybrid
Boot space above 400L
0-60 - under 9 seconds ideally
Big enough for a family of 4, with 2 girls nearing double digits.
Looking to keep it 5-6 years
Merc has served us well, quick enough (0-60 - 8 sec), big boot (around 480/490L), Compact, high seating, sportly looking.
1 big bill in 7.5 years but FSH and only down side has been a little costly with servicing.
Replacements in mind
Kia Sportage/Xceed/Niro - all with 4/5 years Warranty left and i know Kia's fairly well owning a Kia Proceed the last 3/4 years and their reliability/value for money.
Hyundia Tuscon
Lexus UX
Mazda CX-30
Looking for some recommendations and experiences please to broaden my outlook/cover something i hadnt thought of :0)
Many Thanks

The Sportage is a good option with GT Line S/GT Line being the pick:

I don't see the UX as a good option they're imo too small & not great value.
All the alternatives I listed above are just alternatives they're not better or worse, I was just opening up your options.

Thanks that’s good feedback
I think the Sportage/Xceed seem to be good options so far.
I need to see them all in the flesh together.
The warranty is appealing. I also want something that isn’t going to be sluggish when packed up for a mini break but also has many options.
Can’t see past the Kia’s value for money at present.
