I’m a year into ownership of my latest car - it’s been modified to exactly how I want it and yet my autotrader fingers are itchy once more. Over last few years I’ve had a 2019 Skoda superb 272 estate (modified) a 2019 Maserati ghibli, a 2020 Audi A7 (body modifications) a 2016 Maserati Quattroporte GTS and currently in a 2019 840i gran coupe (highly modified)

I have a budget of £40k and want something fun different and exciting

Running costs not too much of a worry as I do limited mileage - what should I consider ?

Current long list of Aston rapide, Porsche taycan, Alfa giulia qf, Bentley flying spur, Range Rover SV.

Only stipulation is it needs to fit child seats in the back so sports cars ruled out

Great list OP, mine would mirror it for next car.

Recently acquired an 2017 E63S, AAAAAMAZING! yes it’s a saloon, but it is savagely fast and engaging. A great one car garage.

How did you find the Masser QP?

Can we see some pics of your cars? I'd love to see what you've done with the 8!

Currently have a Flying Spur as the family car but if I only needed 4 seats I would love to have a Rapide!

Thanks chaps

The QP was awesome - sounded immense, had some real poke and really comfy to drive. It just looked a bit dated to my eye

Some pics of my cars attached …

How’s the flying spur? Which version do you have?

Split the budget and get a daily and some sort of Caterham, will be way more fun than anything you've had before.

I had thought that but Caterhams do nothing for me unfortunately

An Elise? A VX220? Again these are a lot more fun than a modified normal car.

I have the gen 2 in V8 guise. Love it as a family barge and certainly turns every trip into an occasion at all speeds.
Its acquisition (and that of its predecessor) is discussed here.
