Hi my daughters moving to the countryside imminently, and her cars on its last legs
Ideally shes like something with a higher seating postion, but still small,,
Max budget 4k
Ideally something like the viva rocks or juke size, rover streetwise.
But a budget of 4k,
Cant really think of anything else, can you?

Suzuki Swift all grip. You sit fairly high and I think it has a slightly higher ride height than the 2wd. Perfect for the countryside.

The Ignis is more mini suv like but the current gen is a little out of budget and the previous are getting on a bit now, many probably with rust issues.

The SX4 is a little bigger if the above are too small. Also check the Fiat Sedici, it’s the same thing. Available in 2 or 4wd.

Fiat Panda is another option. James May seems to swear by them.

1.6 petrol SX4. Really sweet engine. Put some all season tyres on it and they are a perfect rural runabout:

(Not all are AWD so check for the button by the handbrake).

no not really
if the truth be told she wokred on a farm and got by with a p107, whilst all the farmers and poachers had l200's

where shes moving to is a main road, she just wants the added feeling of abit of height, whilst driving, and something small becasue her commute will be lanes,
she could walk to be honest but it would be canals and farmers tracks etc etc

i said a panda all day but the nicer ones are out of the price bracket
and the viva rocks would be ideal,

theres plenty about now, but they need to dfall into her price brakcet or its a bank of mum and dad job and shes overdrawn there!

Kia Soul? High, spacious, cheap, should be reliable enough.
