Which nearly new B segment automatic?
Discussion
Mrs Indie is changing jobs and needs to buy a car for the first time in 15 years. She quite liked the last (company) one she had (petrol Polo TSi auto) but ‘fancies a change’. Her new commute is 10 miles each way plus the occasional 100+ mile trips to visit the eldest daughter.
The only non-negotiable is that it needs to be automatic (sporting injury rather than restricted licence) and from her on-line browsing that it should ride slightly higher than the Polo, e.g.she quite likes the look of the Ford Puma. Her budget has a ceiling of (say) £18,000.
What else should I be (sorry) steering her towards ?

Yaris Cross? This one's just in budget and has 8 years warranty left if you keep it serviced at Toyota.

How about a Renault Captur, I always think they are fairly good looking when I am behind one in traffic.
Alternatively the other half has got a 16 plate Nissan Juke since new and it just keeps going. It is first gen but the second gen one is a bit cleaner/better looking.
She was unable to drive for the first 6 months of this year due to injury, she hopped in it and it started first time.

Use case would be perfect for electric, Hyundai Kona for example.
