Alfa gtv v6

Hi all, I’ve been looking at these for a while now, mostly as I want some of that v6 goodness in my life.

I’ve not driven one yet, in fact I’ve never even owned any Alfa. But my thinking is that while I still can I probably should.

I’m handy with the spanner’s but am I likely to be bankrupted or are they ok reliability wise? What are they like to drive? Currently have a Fiesta ST and I’m under no illusion the Alfa will drive like that but as long it feels a little bit special to drive I can live with it.

Anything in particular to look out for? Mpg not too important as I wouldn’t be doing too many miles and I have use of another car for commuting.

Corrosion will be your biggest enemy, as well as the odd electrical gremlin the actual drivetrain will be the least of your issues.

Get yourself over to Alfaowner.com. Loads of info on there about them. As above, rust is the biggest problem. Otherwise, they are reliable, brilliant cars :-)
