Hello,

I have been looking through, as one normally does during the working week, at my employers lease deals. Typically it is just generic electric or hybrid cars and nothing of real interest. However, this week I have noticed that the new GR Yaris is available for lease. On top of that what did catch my interest was the option of the new Toyota GR Yaris Ogier edition and the Rovanperä edition.

However, I was reading about the special editions online and noticed that these not only are £60k starting price (ouch) but also that they will be available in a ballot system? I don't believe they have been allocated yet/nor do we know exactly how many the UK will get.

So, my man maths was thinking would it be worth calling the leasing companys bluff? I highly highly doubt they could get one of the special editions and will just end up cancelling my order but if they could somehow get one then fair play. It would be nice to sell it on afterwards but I know with lease cars I can not do that.

With that, which of the special editions should I call their bluff on?
All of the 2024 GR Yaris, the normal and the two special editions were in the ballot for existing GR Yaris owners.

The lucky 'winners' were contacted a few weeks ago. So its extremely unlikely a lease company has managed to secure any allocation. Perhaps call their bluff?
