Cosworth just don’t do it for me unfortunately. I think I'm from a generation after. Fast fords just don’t hold any appeal.
The evo is brilliant but I think it will be very expensive to keep it in tip top condition. I’d be scared of driving it in winter.
Not interested in LHD as how am I meant to get my McDs from the drive through.

Yup, 900 Turbo or a Volvo 850 t5r or 850r, in either estate or saloon guise. E39 BMW 540i, again in saloon or estate, brilliant, brilliant cars. Personally I prefer the straight six engines in a e39, but they are a bit 'light' for some. Mercedes w126 saloon or coupe? Or w124 slsaloon, estate, coupe or cabrio?
The E30 BMWs are gorgeous to drive and a very good investment I suspect. This one is just out of your price range but I’ve been lusting after it since they listed it…

You’d be able to get an excellent regular 325i for your budget though.

Help us out a bit:-
Is it a 4 seater for picnics by the riverside and drinks in pub gardens?
Or for B Road blasts?
Is a modern classic post 1990? Or post 2010?
There are Porsche Panameras and Maserati Quattroportes for £10k less than your budget, which leaves a lot for elevated tax and running costs. I was going to say nothing BMW Audi MB appeals, but then I thought of an E63 Estate, again available way under budget. Aston Rapides and Alfa Giulia Quadrifoglios are just outside of budget.
Any food for thought there?

For me, a modern classic is really most things from the mid seventies till 2000...anything after that is a modern car!! Is it a 4 seater for picnics by the riverside and drinks in pub gardens?
