The USED restomods "for sale or sold" thread...

So, lots of these fantasy cars are being manufactured, but how often do these cars come to the second hand market?
When they do, do they tend to fetch the eye-watering figures they cost when buying new?
I'm really keen on understanding what the used market values these engineering gems at. Apart from Singers of the world (e.g. GTO engineering but this car didn't do so well before it was withdrawn https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1959-ferrari-250... ), they all seem to take a bit of a bath?
This GTO engineering 250SWB seems to have held it's value.

Spotted this Theon which I understand was north of GBP 450,000 new but only got USD 223,000 in an auction.

This lovely Ninemeister car cost upwards of £250,000 to make, but fetched £130,000 at auction.

This Alfaholics spider would have costs similar money new, but fetched half that or so.

These things are probably the hugely-deep-pocketed equivalent of custom cars/hot rods.
Massively attractive to a certain fraternity, but a bit less so to the more mainstream buyer.
Things like Singers are exquisite imho. And good luck to them and their fans. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen a restomod that I’d prefer over a perfect version of the original. Which is usually achievable at far less cost.

Really surprised how poor quality the interiors are on those two 911s for the money involved. I think in general the restomod movement has a seriously wide range of quality and this probably sets out what resells and what doesn't.
That the first thing I noticed in the first one. Looks like Audi TT seats, but I'm sure it's not.I am a fan of a lot of the restomods, but would only ever have one if I have deep enough pockets and if I'm the one commissioning it. I think it's about the process more than anything else. Choosing how you want it to look aesthetically, how you want it to drive etc.
One thing which I've always wondered though, can you get these serviced at a local indie? Do they provide a maintenance booklet so you can provide it to your trusted garage? Or do you have to take it back to them every time.
