I am not affiliated to any leading company but looking for car deals for family and friends.

This one seems decent.

Can’t comment on the lease deal but they are great cars - my wife’s is nearly 2 years old and if we had to only have one car in the garage I’d be more than happy if it were this one.

Almost £20k to rent an RS4 for two years. Doesn't seem that cheap.

Around £50-£55k for a 2nd hand one at dealer prices.

£70k new.

Doubt you would get £50k trading the car in.

Not ‘cheap’ but I suspect it’s cheaper than suffering the depreciation of buying one new. Looks like current list price is about £75k but 2 year old 20k rs4’s from main dealers appear to be £53k ish which I guess would represent what, £48k trade in price? Or £27k in depreciation at today’s prices. Hard to know for sure but as lease deals go it sounds better than most.

This is the only way to judge any lease deal. If you bought it new, and sold it when the lease deal is due to end, would you be better or worse off than leasing it.

A good few years back Mercedes were doing a deal on the SLC250CDI. A 3 year lease would have cost you about £8K. It was £43K to buy at the time and after 3 years you'd be lucky to get £25K for it. That was a good lease deal.

If a 2 year old one is retailing at 50 to 55k, then I suggest that would be 45k trade in max. So much cheaper to lease.

I recently took a 2 year lease on an M2 because total cost was likely to be no more than buying a 4 year old previous model. If the same is true of the RS4 and you want one.....

Also, I think I would be happier leasing, than owning, something highly nickable!

This has been discussed in the lease deals thread; there are a few good deals on these floating about.

Drive the Deal recently had a brand new RS4 black edition for £64,590 if you took Audi finance. £3,200 down and 48x £824. Option to purchase was £39,458.

Obvs figures all depended on the deposit but that was my quote.

Assuming you get £48k as trade in, the lease works out much cheaper over 2 years.
