Hi all,

Looking for collective advice- what would you do?

I’m trading in my car just now, I’ve had it just over 3 years so reached the sweet spot in terms of value/equity.

I’ve seen an Audi Q2, only 4 years old but it has clocked 80K miles… a lot for such a young car I know, but it’s an Audi and I know they run forever.

Anyway, at the dealership I seen an MG ZS, nice looking car, 1 year old with only 10k miles. Basically both work out at the same monthly payment for finance.

I’ve had Audis before and for me they're just a premium drive. But would it be mad to buy a car with over 80K miles on the clock?! The MG is a good wee car for the price, it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy to drive and it’s a decent car in terms of the extras and trim. But my heart is still torn- it be started the order for the MG but I can’t shake the feeling that I’m buying the wrong car.

What would you do?? I’ve never owned an MG before so advice from owners would be great… thanks all.

Personally I wouldn't touch the MG, it's a chinese car with an MG badge. Surely there are other Q2s with lower mileage?

I have an MG HS, had no issues with it, feels just as good as more expensive rivals. Being Chinese doesn't make it a worse car. Its the politics that bother people.

It may depend what car you currently have as to what your expectations are going forwards...

Personally I'd go for a Q2 over an MG ZS, but that's just my own view. Plenty of other options from the VAG group of similar size alternatives

The whole VAG's go on forever is a great marketing thing but if you like it the go for it personally I'd go for something in the middle (Kuga/Spotage/Tucson) of the two with 40/50k on the clock.

Thanks all.

It’s a Kona I am trading in, it’s been a great wee car and I’ve never had issues with it. Before that I had a Q3 which I really enjoyed.

The Q2 is getting new brake pads, timing belt, refurbished alloys. I think I’m going to bite the bullet and go for the Audi
