Looking for a cheap bulletproof load lugger.
Discussion
I don't care how fast it goes, I'd rather drive a slow car fast than a fast car slowly. I don't care if it's comfortable, I'm only the driver.
I've got a reasonably quick and comfortable car for long drives(Octavia VRS) and a fun car (MK1 MX5) and bikes.
I just need something to replace my old trundlebuggy, a 2007 Citroen Berlingo used for everything from builders'merchant and tip runs, dog walks to towing a mower around the fields.
Decent past trundlebuggies have been (in rough chronological order)
MK1 V4 transit, Audi100 Avant, Mazda b2000, Volvo 240 estate, Mondeo estate, V70 xc, Ford Ranger, Shogun, Berlingo. All with big chunky tyres as we live 900' above sea level in the middle of nowhere on an unmade road. I'd be happy to have any of the above again if they were less knackered than I left them. V70 d5's look good, or another Berlingo, but I'm open to suggestions.
Extensive criteria for new trundlebuggy:-
Tough, versatile, cheap to buy.
Any suggestions?
