2020 i3, priced at £15k. Has everything I need, but at least 7-8 superficial scratches. I’m not bothered about those but how much will they affect the resale price down the line (and list of prospective buyers)?

Could a detailer / invisible repairer do anything with them ?
How long are you planning on keeping the car ?

Is it from a dealer?
If so get them to sort them or reduce the price.
If private try to get a bit off and get them sorted either asap or just before you sell.

And yes they will affect at resale if left as is.

Will they buff out?
Maybe try a decent detailer.

I’ll keep the car for 2-3 years most likely

There are 3-4 scratches on body panels, 1 “blenish”
which is fingernail sized and has already been (poorly) touched up, edge of a door is chipped, scratches on the boot loading area.
How much £ off would you be asking for on a £15k car?

What are comparable cars for sale up for sale at and how does the £15k one stack up against them ?
If it’s perfect for you and already the cheapest then that may limit your chances but if you don’t ask you don’t get.

It’s priced fairly. I don’t think I could get a similar one for much less than 14,700, maybe 14,500

Then I think you’ve perhaps answered your own question.
£500 - £750 spent with a detailer would probably go a long way.

Door edge chips seem to be standard on used cars, easy to touch up to make good.

I've never seen an i3 which doesn't have scratches on the black rear upper bumper section so I'd say unlikely to negotiate money off.

Cheers,

Chris
