Seriously considering one of these at the moment. Anything else I should be looking at? Absolute max budget is £28k.

Just checking there isn't anything else I may prefer as I cannot think of anything better for the same sort of money.

You can get 530e tourers for that kind of money but the boot area is compromised by the battery

I can see the appeal of these. Volvo seem one of the few manufacturers who can properly package a PHEV without affecting the boot space. The mercedes solution of a massive step in the boot is hilariously rubbish.

My biggest concern with these would be reliability. Although I'm generally not a fan of SUVs and RAV4 PHEV could be worth a look due to the warranty.

I'd be scraping the bottom of the market with my budget for one of those and it would have barely any options.

Reliability is a concern with a turbo and supercharged petrol engine along side the battery. The battery however seems to have an 8 year warranty from new.

Agreed on the hump in the boot not being great, not a problem with the V60.

Unfortunately the RAV 4 interior does nothing for me, it doesn't look an especially nice place to sit.
