Hi all,
I normally have 3-4 cars at anyone time between my wife and I. Two sensible cars for carrying the dog, trips to visit family etc. and then an older toy to enjoy- recent cars include e46 M3, 996 and an S2000. I am now looking at a change and going down to two cars, as I am tired of tax, insurance and maintenance across this 4 cars with other things going on in my life.

I have a 72 plate Dacia Duster which I will replace, but will keep our w212 E350cdi estate as it is great for long drives (we do 20k pa in this) and lugging our large dog about safely. The question is what newer fun daily would you guys advise? It won’t do huge mileage (8k pa) and will be used on local b roads along with the odd trip away.

Criteria:
Fun to drive
Upto £35k but cheaper is better
Sub 6 years old
Ideally 4 seats but not essential.

Current ideas:
I30N
GR86
GR Yaris

What would you guys look at in my scenario? I used to work for VW and had mk7.5 GTI as company cars, so know they are superb but I have kind of done that and they are possibly a little dull…

Thanks and sorry for the long message, currently waiting for a gearbox fluid change on my old w124.

Actually could be the cheapest over a 3 year period with the low depreciation.

ZX10R NIN on point as ever.

I've got a soft spot for those Mustangs these days. Expect the M3 is a better driving tool though.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. For some reason I hadn’t thought about the M3/4 despite it being obvious in some ways.

The A110 is what I really want, but they feel too much of a stretch really….wish they would depreciate more!

Any other ideas appreciated.

Take a good look at both the Supra & Evora.
