Another What Car Thread
Discussion
Morning PH Collective
Well here is a thread I hoped not to need, but my lovely 986 Boxster S is now confirmed as a write off by the insurance company.
So I am back out on the market for a new car, but since I was expecting to be here anytime soon I have no idea what I want. I could go another Boxster but I waited a long time to find the right one for me last time so I worry that I will just be annoyed by one that isn't as nice. But it does so seem like the perfect car for me.
So I thought I would see if PH had any ideas as I have very few requirements other than it being unusual or interesting and engaging in some way. So you have somewhere in the £12.5k range (maybe push to £15k) what would you look at?
Convertible's Preferred
Manuals Preferred
Would be interested in something V8
Don't worry about practicality as the Boxster did everything I needed

If you can get over the manual bit, try a Jaguar XKR in either 4.2 or 5.0. They're a crazy amount of car for the money.
Hi Tom, a couple of those did come on my initial search so might be worth a look. Typically I go for something that is sporty rather than luxury but an in person looks is sometimes a different thing to browsing the adsMammasaid said:
Haha, what a find. I did say practicality wasn't a concern but it think that might be a step to far as my only car with no garage as well. I suspect one of these is about the only thing that meets your requirements: https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/15027021

Quite possibly, I did consider one of these before I went for the Boxster last time so definitely worth revisiting I thinkI keep thinking BMW Z3s are still very under appreciated.
