Cars with upright seating position

Due to some back problems, I find a more upright seating position, i.e. knees fairly bent, more comfortable than a feet out in front of me seating position. Both the new Octavia and V60 I test drove weren't much better on my back than my old Octavia.

Initial thoughts were I'm more likely to get the upright position in an SUV type car so had a look at a few

• XC60 I test drove was amazingly comfortable, but probably a bit bigger than we need, XC40 seems comfortable but not driven yet and I think the boot's too small (plus sadly not available with 450 bhp like the XC60)
• NX350, again comfortable to sit in but I've not test driven yet.
• Rav 4 probably bigger than I need, but I've not sat in a Corolla Cross yet.
• Sportage crap visibility
• CX-5 not looked at yet
• HRV surprisingly car like seating position.

The latter led me to wonder what non-SUV cars have a more upright driving position?

Any recommendations for mid sized cars with a decent sized boot but an upright seating position?
