A friend of mine placed an order for a vehicle, was promised delivery a month ago, then put back another month, and now gone back a further month.

They need a car now and cannot wait, so have asked to cancel.

Leasing Options are charging 3% of the P11d value to cancel for a car they've failed to deliver when promised.

Has anyone had any experience with them?

Sounds a little onerous to me.

Presumably it will depend on the T&C's they agreed when placing the order.

Personally i'd tell them to sue me for it!

I had similar last year when I cancelled a Cupra Leon that didn’t even have a build date when it was meant to be delivered. It was a different company but they eventually let me off with the cancellation fee. I got nowhere getting my broker fee back though even after involving the ombudsman.

Turns out it’s ok for them to promise you a delivery date (in writing) that results on you placing an order then to have no comeback when they fail to keep that promise by several months.
