Just going for some opinions on what's important when buying a 520d touring.

Looking at 2017 46000 miles £15500 and a 2019 with 70000 miles £16500. The 2017 has pro Satnav and so bigger screen than standard, but the 2019 has the even bigger screen above the dash (does that mean iDrive 7?). Android auto would be a big plus for me.

Otherwise they are remarkably similar. Any must have options I should be looking for?

Absolutely resale comes into it though. In 2 years time would selling these with 20000 miles extra be a big deal. 46000+20000 seems much better than 70000+20000, but then the 2017 will be 9 years old!

is the 2017 a G30? Sounds from the Nav description to be a late F10? G30 is easily spotted from outside by the silver vents on the front wings. Inside you get digital dash and much better Sat Nav etc. Dont think they kept with standard and Pro Nav on the G series. 2019 is on the cusp of iDrive 7 for Android auto upgrade. My G31 is 68 plate and I don't think there is an easy sort (but happy to be told otherwise?)
Mileage wise I think you are better off high miles and lower age , especially if the other is F10. I went high mileage 90K and will add about 10K a year. Bought my F11 on 90K added 110K over seven years before trading it for my G31. Would have kept it if it was an auto. New car is 525 too so a fair bit quicker.

That’s definitely the f10. The g30 is a big step up imo and I’d go for that over the f10 for similar money

I've had a 2012 F11 520d Touring since 2016.

150,000+ miles now.

Lovely car.

Is not ULEZ compliant, however.

2017 model will be.
