Dealer increases price weekly, car unsold for weeks

I won’t post the AT link in case the dealer doesn’t like that I call him dodgy, but he does come across that way.
German sports car, listed at 57k. I call, viewings by appointment only and weirdly neither today nor upcoming weekend work. I can’t be bothered waiting much longer, plus there’s a bit too much of “best car mate guy who owned it was basically a millionaire you won’t find a better car mate”, I end up buying the same model a day later from a reputable dealer.
I kept the car bookmarked on AT and price just keeps going up. 59k, 60k, 62k today. It’s been weeks since the advert went up.
What might be going on? Or is he just a terrible businessman?
