Pre-2010 quirky, interesting, "rare" car, less than £30,000?

My favourite era of cars, and motorsport - anything pre 2010. Basically, I want the cars I couldn't afford when I was a kid/teenager. Been saving for a few years for a house, finally got it, so want to get a new car. My current crop of cars include:

Megane R26 2008, Mazda MX5 Mk1 1.6 1990, Ford Mondeo Mk2 2.0 Ghia 1999

Previous cars:

Skoda Octavia VRS Mk1, Renault Laguna 2.0RT, Ford Puma 1.7, Mini Clubman S Mk2

Cars on my hit list at the moment include:

Alfa Romeo 147GTA
Alfa Romeo 156GTA
Aston Martin DB9 (Phase 1)
Jaguar S-Type V6 (Maybe 4.2 V8 R)
Mercedes CLS 350Cdi Mk1 (Maybe AMG55)
Ford Mondeo Mk2 ST200
Nissan Primera GT
Fiat Multipla Mk1
Citroen Ami (wildcard)

As you can tell, I have no standards - I am also not of the mindset that spending more = better, that's why my wish-list is all over the place. Ideas please! (and no Porsches, they do nothing for me)

Its just adorable, but I live in the middle of nowhere so having one would cause pain and misery to everyone around me due to its low speed.

Seems to be a theme (apart from the Ami) of needs rear seats and must drive well. Presumably that excludes the likes of the Renault Avantime and Citroen C6? What about a CLK or CLS with the 6.2 engine, or a BMW E9* M3, or E60 M5? Equally, a Maserati Granturismo or Quattroporte?

A Maserati 4200 with a manual gearbox is rare, quirky (less shouty than a Granturismo) and will cost less than half your budget
