Hey,

I'm looking for a new car, has to be an estate, get good MPG (more than 45mpg) , lower on the tax end (max £300), auto and be comfortable, spacious and have really good suspension for under £10k. Might be able to squeeze my budget past the £10k mark if the car is really good.

I'm not scared of higher mileage cars, but if the mileage is on the higher end, the engine has to be known for its reliability.

I've had a look at a few cars, and I've narrowed it down to a cheap B7 passat for roughly £3-£4k, or potentially a CLS estate for upwards of £10k. But still haven't decided.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks smile

Luke.

V70 would be on my list with those requirements. You should get a decent one easily for your budget.

I'm currently eyeing up F11 BMW 530Ds, which fit those requirements. Earlier, higher mileage cars are well within that budget.

The N57 engine is fairly well regarded (as long as you're not treating it like a police car...).

Thanks for all the replies guys, appreciate it.

Had a look at most cars replied, and unfortunately they are all quite pricey to insure. The cheapest ones being the Skoda Superb and E220. The rest were all over £2000 lol
