New (to me) car sales scam
Discussion
Just put a car on FB Marketplace (yes, yes, I know ) and had what appeared to be quite a legitimate looking interested party start messaging me.
Then after a bit he asks me to get a “Quickvins” report for him, supplies the URL…
It’s a fair idea, it was just the way it came up. They’re £29 which is ridiculous. It set alarm bells ringing. A quick google and it seems a common scam.
Presented him with the info and boom! He’s gone. What a tt.
So, as usual, watch yourselves.
