4 seater "sports" convertible - £18k?
Discussion
Hi All
The kids are growing up so I want to consider something fun that the family can sit in.
For my budget, I'd like something post 2016 that is a little bit of an event (I apprecaite my budget means I need to be realistic) while being sensible. Needs to be 4 seats, but two doors is fine.
Things like a higher miles M4 or S3 come to mind.
Any thoughts or links to good cars I could possibly buy would be very gratefully received.

Maybe a 440i or E400 worth considering

I just put a quick search in on AT, and the M440i/M240i Convertibles jumped out at me.
6 series is an option too. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/2024050794...MissChief said:

That is lovely for sure, but I thought the budget was £18k and that is £26k? Short legs = Abarth 500/595/695

Or Mini JCW in thread,

Audi S5/ older RS4,
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/2024050794...
BMW 1/2/3/4/M4 as you suggest but that will be leggy and possibly Cat marked and will be hard to shift (insurance has hammered them this year too, esp at the ratty end)
Merc E pre 2017 as post is nicer but likelihood of good engine at this price very slim.
Jag XK, although possibly less room on the back than the Fiat

Bentley GTC and a big pair of balls

The RS4, and the XK above are what I would have suggested as well.
I used to have a similar vintage XK, certainly an event, such a great sounding engine, although the rear seats weren't great.
Or this generation XKR

One thing I did wonder, how usable did you want the rear seats to be?
Hi mate, definitely looking for 4 seats not a 2+2 so 911s, etc are not an option. Also, thank you everyone for the contributions. I'm looking into these. Not a niche I know much about so trying to educate myself.

Ah, I something like the XK wouldn't be ideal then, the rear seats are not much use really. Also, thank you everyone for the contributions. I'm looking into these. Not a niche I know much about so trying to educate myself.
