We have just said goodbye to the Ghibli and need a 4 seater to last until the new motability car arrives in Sept.

Budget £6 or 7k.
4 seats - There are 3 of us.

I like these -

Can anyone share any real guidance as to 'hidden' and huge problems.

BMW 6 series is my wife's choice. I'm not

Not an EV, hate them. We would prefer a diesel as there are some long trips planned for the summer.

Needs to be easy(ish) to sell as well. The Ghibli didn't sell after 6 months so we hit the 'VT' button.

Thanks in advance.

If you want easy to sell on then why are you looking at leggy old luxo-GTs?

I had thought a 6 series would be more desirable. What do I know!

E class looks a good steer.
I may have to just accept defeat and buy another WRX!

If you are only looking for something for 4-5 months, why not go down the shed route?

Saves spending £6k+ on a car and the hassle of selling it, as long as its a good shed there is a steady market for reselling it and you should get back what you spent on it.

It will also make you appreciate your new car more when it arrives...

E coupes are popular & easy to sell on, find a Sport with the Pan roof as they're more popular:

This is a very good shout. The 350 petrol is surprisngly close to the diesel on MPG. It's also ULEZ compliant which makes it significantly less of a pain in the arse in an increasing number of places.
