Considering getting something taller, as I have to take my mum places and she is starting to get to the sort of age where getting into and out of my M140 is getting more difficult.

So Idly browsing the classifieds, the I-Pace seems to be ludicrously cheap second hand. Are they terrible? or a crazy money pit ?

They are fantastic cars, and currently incredible value.
Real world range 200miles in winter, 250 summer. Not the fastest charging. Some well documented issues - h441 battery recall, leaking windscreen seal, 12v battery.

From owning one for a year, it's an amazing car, my example has not been good reliability wise. It's had the battery recall done, but is now limited to 72% making the range hopeless, I've been waiting for a month and a bit for the battery cells needed, Jaguar say there's no ETA. Mine will be for sale once it's sorted..

My brother had one for nearly four years. He loved it....until it broke.

Drivetrain warning one day coming home from a weekend away, it was then in a Jaguar dealership for weeks before it could be diagnosed, then more weeks awaiting repair. £10K later the lease company got their car back (it was a company car).

His same company had an EQC which needed a whole new battery pack - £30K.

My point? If going electric, always have a warranty!

Get one with air suspension - brilliant ride, but also can be set to lower slightly when parking to aid entry / egress. Brilliant cars - but get a warranty.
